Review by hotel critic
Nestled conveniently just a hop, skip, and jump from the seafront in West Cowes, the Union Inn was a delightful retreat during our recent holiday. The freshly prepared continental breakfast was a highlight, offering an abundance of cereals, fresh fruit, and even sumptuous options like French toast and eggs Benedict-perfect fuel for our daily explorations of the stunning coastline. The staff were especially charming, providing insider tips about local spots while ensuring we felt right at home in this cozy, seafaring-themed pub. Our room was stylish yet snug, equipped with a flat-screen TV and all the necessary comforts-ideal after a day of frolicking around Cowes. Plus, the vibrant atmosphere of the pub made it a great place to unwind with a local ale while soaking in the nautical decor. For those keen on strolling the historic yacht clubs or getting a taste of the legendary Cowes Week, this inn is a fantastic base to enjoy the best of the area while still being true to nature and community. What I loved most was the warm, welcoming vibe-an innate quality that resonated with my passion for sustainability and authentic travel experiences. Whether you're visiting solo or with friends seeking a bit of adventure, the Union Inn is an eco-conscious gem that invites you to both relax and explore!
